Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC)
Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic ,water-soluble polymer from wood pulps or cotton linters that can be used of water retention aid and rheology modifier in water-based paints. It is available in a grade that has bio-stability in solution against enzymatic attacks. Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is widely used for water-based paints. It provides good pseudoplastic flow and wide compatibility with colored pigments, emulsion polymers, surfactants, emulsifiers, defoamers, and preservatives. In order to avoid lump formations caused by a quicker than optimal dissolution rate, Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is properly treated to achieve optimum hydration time for the application.
Key features:
- Good Thermal Storage Stability,Stable Viscosity
- High Enzyme Resistance, High Biostability
- Low Moisture Content
- Low Ash Content
- Low Insolubles, Low Gel particle, Clear & Transparent Aqueous Solution
MAIN APPLICATIONS:
Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) as a top grade thickener, its suitable for high grade coating, personal care, home care, and water treatment.
